( Pirika was an early-riser. After checking to make sure that the house was still in order it was time to cook breakfast for the boys. This morning it was omelets with cheese and green onions.
Once she got everything into place it was time to get both of them. After knocking on Noiz's door, she went to shake Beat awake. )
[Unlike Pirika, Beat didn't like getting out of bed until he felt like it. The alarm on his phone had already rang at least three times every ten minutes that morning and he'd hit the snooze button every time.
It wasn't until Pirika began shaking him that he felt just a tiny bit awake. But clearly it wasn't enough for him to actually get out of bed. Instead he turns the other way, pulling the pillow over his head.]
[ oh, she's played this game enough with her brother to know how to handle this. She'll start by attempting to pull the pillow away; next it'll be the sheets. ]
Don't get started with me. You don't want the food to get cold.
( well, there go the sheets. Careful there may be a bucket of water in the future. )
That isn't the point! If you want to eat, take a shower, and leave on time you're going to have to get up now. ( Or maybe just a pillow moving swiftly towards where Beat's face is. )
[Grumble grumble. He crosses his arms over his chest and fights the very strong desire to head back to bed. Or the couch for that matter considering that his mattress was probably soaked through now. He's not picky.]
[Beat doesn't even bother to hide a sigh as he finally gets out of bed. But that doesn't mean he's ready to head to school either. Now that he's up, all he's thinking about is getting some breakfast.
Which he's going to do right now. Looks like you might have to follow him, Pirika.]
[Oh, that definitely stops him in his tracks. But not because he's scared. No, instead he seems curious to see exactly what it was she was planning on trying to make him go to school.]
[ a playful tilt of her head back and forth as she 'thinks' ]
It'd be real easy for me to put something you don't want in your food, wouldn't it? I do cook almost every meal now. [ a beat ] And don't we share a room? It'd be a shame if something happened to your bed...
